Terra Preta in Your Garden

In 2010, Rainer Sagawe brought the Terra Preta pioneer Haiko Pieplow, Federal Environment Ministry to Hameln to give a lecture in the hall of the Hameln public utility company. Over 90 people came and a garden group was founded spontaneously, which continues to apply and develop the terra preta principle in the gardens to this day. Terra Preta gardens, which are magnificent to look at, have been created in the villages in particular. One of the most beautiful facilities was built on the Ith ridge on the grounds of the Holzen / Ith education center. Young people from the Federal Voluntary Service are trained here. Rainer Sagawe gave several workshops here and produced several cubic meters of terra preta soil with the young people, a small garden was laid out, there was sown and planted, the results are shown in the following photos (Copyright: Rainer Sagawe).
